    A county in East Anglia of origin that is historic is Suffolk (/ˈsʌfək/). Ballingdon-with-Brundon and parts of Haverhill and Kedington include a few Essex parishes that were added to Suffolk. While Waveney and Suffolk Coastal would form a new East Suffolk district, it was determined in 2018 that St Edmundsbury and Forest Heath, to form a district of West Suffolk, would be merged.
